Split air conditioner is becoming more popular among other air conditioners in the market due to its space-saving feature when installing. Installation is made easier when small offices or home rooms acquires a split air conditioner as this saves space and no major demolition on the original set up or design of the room is needed. There are two main parts of a split air conditioner system with functions that vary from the other. The compressor that cools the air and manages the condensation is situated outside the room while the blower which is located inside the room distributes the cool air. On the other hand, the inside unit which gives the cooling effect in the room cases the evaporator coil, the blower and the filter. The blower absorbs the humid and filtered air while the evaporator looses excess moisture as air passes through it. What remains inside the room is the cool and dry air that gives comfortability to the entire room.

There is also another model of a split air conditioner called Dual split air conditioner where instead of one indoor housing; two indoor units are installed in different areas inside the room. But just the same, these two indoor units are connected to one outdoor unit which is located outside the room. The outdoor unit produces extremely much lesser noise in spite the attachment of two indoor units.

A much space saver type of split air conditioner is the wall split air conditioner or also known as the wall-mounted split air conditioner, a most common type of indoor unit. This kind of unit can easily be reinstalled when moving the unit to another place. Of late, the function of an indoor unit has changed from being just to cool the entire area but instead to beautify the room as well – an elegant looking cooling device adding beauty to an ordinary looking room. Thus the popularity of wall split air conditioner and other split air conditioner models has increased. Its evaporating coil or also called cooling coil is covered with aluminum fins so that heat can be circulated from the coil to the air inside the office or room. The cooling coil plays a big role in the transfer of heat and air. The air filter is also an essential part of an inside unit as this separates the dirty particles from the clean particles of air in cooling the room. The blower pulls out the hot and dirty air out of the room and supplies clean and cool air to maintain the comfortable temperature inside. Whatever type of split air conditioner available on market, all gives cooler air and producing lesser noise.
